A Private Country House and Estate for Exclusive Use
Farleigh Wallop, a quintessential English estate steeped in centuries of history, invites guests to experience the epitome of luxury and elegance just an hour’s drive from London. Owned by the same family since the 15th century, Farleigh Wallop is not only a testament to heritage but also a haven for exclusive events, private gatherings, and indulgent getaways.
Nestled within a sprawling 4,000-acre Hampshire estate, Farleigh Wallop is accessed via an ancient tree-lined avenue, setting the stage for a truly enchanting arrival. The main house, a classic English home, has recently undergone a meticulous redesign and refurbishment, seamlessly blending modern amenities with its inherent historical charm. Adorned with a collection of family books, paintings, and furniture, the house exudes a sense of timeless elegance and sophistication.
Privacy is paramount at Farleigh Wallop, with the house discreetly hidden from the road by woodland and a high garden wall. The estate boasts eight reception rooms, each offering a unique ambience and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. From intimate lunches to grand dinners and everything in between, the main dining room sets the stage for unforgettable gatherings, accommodating up to 40 guests with ease. A spacious country kitchen, as well as a commercial kitchen for larger parties, ensures seamless entertaining, while eleven guest bedrooms and nine bathrooms provide luxurious accommodation for overnight stays.
The estate’s gardens, meticulously designed by renowned garden designer Georgia Langton, offer a haven of tranquillity and natural beauty. Guests can enjoy leisurely lunches, peaceful picnics, and relaxed walks amidst the ever-changing landscape. The three-acre walled garden, divided into formal ‘rooms’ by yew hedges, features herbaceous borders, vegetable beds, and a kitchen garden supplying fresh produce for the house’s culinary delights. The classic English rose garden and contemporary wild rose and sculpture garden add to the estate’s allure, providing a delightful contrast of styles and textures.
