Know Before You Go...®
This villa is totally serene. There’s more than enough activities - pool and beach toys, kayaks, snorkeling, and a huge pool. Laze by the ocean on the beachfront patio, or take a 10 minute walk down the beach to Da Conch Shack for a bite to eat. The Great Room is a great place to gather at the end of the day, with a flat screen TV to watch movies or premieres on. Children are welcome, and there’s more than enough to keep them occupied. There’s also a huge upstairs deck that overlooks the beach if you want to watch the sunset over the water.
Beautiful beachfront property, with six bedrooms
Casa Barana is a Tuscan-style villa located in Thompson’s Cove, on the North Shore, Turks and Caicos. The home’s setup is spacious enough for 12 guests to have total privacy.
Lounge on the main pool deck or enjoy the pool and hot tub. There are several outdoor dining tables available for al fresco meals. A path leads from the deck down to the beach, and a private pad provides even more space to relax and take in the view. The beach is unspoiled, with soft, white sand and shallow waters perfect for snorkeling in. The courtyard links the sleeping and living areas, acting as a communal space for playing, eating, and conversing. The property is surrounded by an abundance of tropical flowers and greenery, which makes it feel extra private. There’s even an outdoor shower to clean off after a day on the beach.
The air-conditioned living room is oversized, with high ceilings and armchairs, recliners, and sofas to recline on. A flat screen cable TV has a DVD player and library, so guests can watch whatever they want to. The dining room sits behind, with exterior access to the gardens and seating for 10. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and ample cookware. There’s also a Nespresso machine and wine cooler for morning and evening drinks. The bedrooms each have air-conditioning and a satellite TV. There is one bedroom in the main house, with an ensuite bathroom, queen-sized bed, and walk in shower. All the other bedrooms are in a separate building just next door. The Master Bedroom upstairs has a wine cooler and mini fridge, as well as a king-sized bed, ensuite bath with walk in shower, and access to the balcony overlooking the sea. There’s an adjoining bedroom that is only accessed via the Master bathroom, with two twin beds (great for kids). It can be converted into a king-sized bed for a couple if they don’t mind sharing a bath and walking through the other couple’s bedroom and the shared bath to enter and exit their bedroom. This bedroom also has access to the balcony. Each of the main level bedrooms have their own entrance, ensuite bathroom, and patio. One bedroom has a king-sized bed and a deep soaking tub, the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and overlooks the pool, and the third bedroom has a queen-sized bed overlooking the gardens.
This villa is a just a few steps from the beach, and within walking distance of one of the Turks and Caicos’ most popular beach bars. Children are welcome, and the villa is well-designed for large families.

Great Family Vacation Enjoyed by All!
Casa Barana, Turks and Caicos villa review
I have to agree with others who have already reviewed this villa. Casa Barana was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and provided lots of outdoor as well as beachside seating, including umbrellas. The beach was just steps away from the villa making it convenient to go between the beach and the pool (or the hot tub, which became a family favourite!). The beach was beautiful and the water quite shallow, with good snorkeling in close proximity. The kayaks were a bonus and became a great way to view the sea turtles. Paul was also readily available to answer any questions promptly. It’s a beautiful home!
Andrew was excellent to work with and I thank him for suggesting this villa as we wanted to ensure our two year old grandchild had a safe and fun beach experience. Andrew answered any questions I had about visiting the island and the site on “My Trip” was full of recommendations. I would book with WhereToStay again without hesitation!

Family Stay at Casa Barana
Casa Barana, Turks and Caicos villa review
Our stay at Casa Barana was wonderful. The villa was a great choice and was very well equipped. With six bedrooms and a great kitchen and dining room area, our family had plenty of room to hang out in comfort. The kitchen had everything we could have needed and made meals memorable. The pool and surrounding deck area made swimming and sunning fun for our whole family, including our four grandchildren (ages 11, 8, 3 and 10 months). The entire house was well appointed with a couple of outdoor eating areas, a BBQ, an outdoor shower, and ready access to the beach.
The caretaker ‘Paul’ was extremely helpful and was available whenever we needed some assistance. His pleasure seemed to be making our stay what we expected. In short, Paul was great… he even came over to fix a small leak in the kitchen double sink… a drain came loose and he repaired it in no time.
I would definitely stay at Casa Barana again and would recommend it to any family wanting a great private house to build memories. The entire island was wonderful.

Andrew and WhereToStay’s staff were great to work with in planning and executing our trip. They delivered everything they promised, so no complaints. I never got to meet Faye and Julian, but spoke to them as we arrived and during the week.

Casa Barana, Turks and Caicos villa review
We enjoyed the stay very much. Beautiful location and house. Not being able to use the hot tub is unacceptable to charge more for it. We had several repairs that needed attention. Would return in the future. Staff was great. Overall excellent

Our Family had a lovely vacation at Casa Barana!
Casa Barana, Turks and Caicos villa review
We were so excited to arrive! Paul greeted us with cold Rum Punch and a nice orientation to the house and the island. It was very windy and a bit cool the week we were there so thank goodness for the jacuzzi. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach, afternoon walks to Da Conch Shack :-) and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was very well stocked, which made this cook very happy - our family of 11 adults eat a lot, so we ate in often. The rooms were very nice, we had a few maintenance glitches, but we called Paul and he had them fixed. The room with 2 twins is attached to the master and anyone staying in twin room must enter master to exit. This will work with little kids but not with our adult situation. We made it work but it wasn’t clear on web site. Loved the kayaks and the beach chairs and umbrellas were wonderful when we visited other beaches. Would stay here again. We love Turks - wonderful time.
Shawna was more than helpful. I don’t book online often, so was a bit nervous, but she was super nice and responsive to all our needs and questions.
