Great stay at a perfect location

Allegria, Turks and Caicos villa review

Family of 8 adults and 1 infant had a wonderful time at the villa. Beautiful beach and views. We especially enjoyed kayaking to mangrove and iguana cays, the pool, and fire pit. For coffee lovers the villa had 3 coffee/expresso makers (drip, expresso/cappuccino machine, and a nespresso machine (orginal capsuls)).
We used the AC in the bedrooms at night and didnt come close to going over the $300 allotment. If you prefer a soft mattress then don’t sleep in the upstairs master bedroom as it is extremely firm. Coco Bistro is a great close restaurant. We were able to get a table for 9 without a reservation (15 minute wait). The property managers , Island escapes, were great and quick to respond to a maintenance issue. Overall, its a great villa at a perfect location.

Overall the villa is very nice - it is situated in the private Leeward Settlement section of the island provides a bit more security than other locations. It is about a 25 minute drive from the airport and 7 - 15 minutes from all the Grace Bay restaurant options. Drive on the LHS and enjoy the traffic circles :)

The villa is located along the waterway that separates Providencialis from Mangrove Cay. The beach is beautiful, however, the water depth drops off rather quickly to the waterway - so just OK for swimming. If you Kayak across to the Mangrove Cay you will see turtles and other creatures on calm sunny days. Lots of speed boats, catamarans, sailboats, barges and other toys zipping by to and from the Marina to watch. The beach is great to walk - head toward the point and around the corner for open waters and massive villas. Also lots of shells at the point…

The villa is very modern, the main floor open plan floor contains the kitchen, living / dining room and a den. A whole wall of glass opens up to the pool and deck (you will have to pay extra to heat it - but a good idea during cooler months). We LOVED the pool!!! The kitchen is pretty well equipped, however, a little bit cramped given the size of the villa. The furnitures is comfortable. The main TVs (dens) have Youtube TV, Netflix and Prime included. The masters have Netflix and Prime.

There are 2 bedrooms, downstairs, 1 on the main floor and 3 upstairs - all with en-suite bathrooms. All of the rooms have separate AC (you get a $300 electric allowance - so use electric judiciously). Downstairs had lots of games for kids and a walkout to the beach. Kayaks, Paddle boards and beach lounges are ample.

There is an alarm system - we didn’t use it. There is also a safe in the master bedroom. The villa staff are helpful with restaurants and beaches etc. etc.

Favorite Restaurant for casual lunch or dinner: The Farm
Favorite Beaches: Taylor (long and shallow) hardly anyone there…
Least Favorite Beach: Sapodilla (unless you want to get drunk and listen to loud music)

Best Grocery Stores: The IGA or Graceway Gourmet

What to avoid? PLS Airport on a Saturday… just a hot mess of overcrowding and failing AC / arrive / depart ANY other day! Your trip will be delayed on a Saturday by 1 to 4 hours.

Andrew was easy to work with and was good at prompting us to get Sailing reservations and Car rentals early. Sail Beluga was phenomenal.

Piece of Paradise

Allegria, Turks and Caicos villa review

This villa and the outdoor space was incredible. We were a 4 generation family of
10 from Toronto who all enjoyed every minute of this beautiful piece of paradise. The beach area is great for playing games and lots of trees around to find some shade. The pool is fantastic and the ocean was calm for the younger ones to play in - even though it was extremely windy. There are many different areas in the house to relax so if someone wanted to read or even watch tv on their own, there were lots of options.
Really would recommend this for any group. We had a wonderful holiday!

This is our 4th booking with Andrew and Wheretostay. He is always honest with his recommendations and we have been extremely happy with the accommodations he has booked for us. Andrew and Sharon recommended a chef (Tiziano) for this trip who we hired for 2 of the nights and it was a highlight. Food was great and so nice just to stay in - especially when the house is so nice.

Villa Allegria

Allegria, Turks and Caicos villa review

One of the best vacations our family has ever been on - the house was absolutely beautiful and huge - definitely accommodating to families of any size! The villa had an open layout with huge bedrooms and gorgeous bathrooms - and all ultimately leads to a spectacular infinity pool just steps from the house - and ultimately the beach! We loved both - and how easy it was to use the kayaks and paddle boards each day. We were even greeted several times by vendors asking if we’d like to jet ski, take a boat ride, or even take a guided tour - so easy!

We also loved the ability to stay at the villa - and have intimate family dinners - as well as having spectacular options to dine out.

I’d highly recommend anyone to stay here - as, again, it was a 5 star from the time we got there to the time we left!

The experience working with Andrew and team were great - they provided a step by step view of Turks & Caicos - from what to expect when we got there, to places to eat, the great attributes of the villa, as well as the sights that were a must see! I’d highly recommend using Where to Stay - as everyone we interacted with were polite and professional!
