Le Caprice Villa perches above Baie Rouge in the exclusive Terres Basses region. The villa’s elevated oceanfront perch lends panoramic ocean views and hidden beach access.
A private garden pathway leads down to Baie Longue, which offers two miles of white sand and rocky outcrops perfect for long strolls. The beach’s crystal clear, turquoise waters are usually calm and relatively shallow. A stone and hardwood sundeck furnished with loungers surrounds the large, mosaic-tiled infinity pool. The deck’s ocean views stretch from the Simpson Bay Lagoon to Dutch St. Maarten. Guests can relax in the spacious, poolside gazebo and watch the sunset dazzle the horizon. There is also a shaded, outdoor kitchen with a gas barbecue grill, a wet bar, and al fresco dining. Lush, floral gardens line the property’s sundeck, driveway, and beach pathway.
Le Caprice combines traditional French Caribbean architecture with modern comforts. Wooden shutters frame the living room’s ocean view, and the entertainment area includes a flatscreen Samsung TV, a sound system, and an oversized couch. The dining area has seating for 10 guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with slate gray and white cabinetry with granite countertops, a breakfast bar with Tribu bar stools, and high-quality Miele and Liebherr appliances. Each of Le Caprice’s bedrooms has a private bathroom and a flatscreen TV. The master suite is located in a private cottage surrounded by lush greenery. The cottage has a walk-in closet and a large terrace with a hot tub, an outdoor shower, and a swing seat. The ensuite bathroom has double vanities, a large rain shower, and separate his and her toilets and bidets. The main house holds three king suites: two on the main floor and one on the upper level. The upper level suite can be accessed from a staircase in the living area. The other two suites have king beds, exterior access only, and ensuite bathrooms with rain showers.
Le Caprice is only a short drive distance to shops and restaurants. There are dining options in Sandy Ground and many more restaurants in Marigot further down the road.
