Amethyst is an ultra-modern, waterfront villa on the Terres Basses cliffs. This fully air-conditioned home has panoramic views of the ocean and the St. Martin coastline.
Amethyst offers a secluded hideaway for nature lovers. A dramatic grotto with snorkeling and ocean access, known Trou David or David’s Hole, is mere yards from the villa. Tropical gardens surround the property and stone pathways run throughout the exterior. There’s also a cozy dining deck above the hillside. The villa’s infinity pool has sloping, beach-style access and sits between the main and sleeping pavilions. Both the main pavilion and the sleeping pavilion have two-story decks with several loungers, daybeds, and dining spots. The main pavilion’s covered terrace leads into the open-air kitchen and has a comfortable sitting area, dining area, and a built-in BBQ.
The layout of this charming villa provides gorgeous views and maximum privacy for all of the bedrooms. Both the main pavilion and sleeping pavilion have a stylish, modern tone. The ground floor holds the living room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen. In the living room, there’s a large flatscreen TV, games, books, and chic furnishings. A dining table sits between the living room and kitchen. Black countertops and wooden furnishings run throughout the shotgun kitchen, and it’s equipped with stainless steel appliances. There’s a double sink, cocktail equipment, and pass-through window in the open-air portion by the veranda. A prep kitchen sits separate from the main kitchen, with a wine cooler, sink, and access to the BBQ.
There are five bedrooms in the sleeping pavilion, each with an ocean view and private bathroom. The suites are decorated in Moroccan, Provencal, or Colonial themes. The main level has a king suite with a private terrace, a large living area with a flatscreen TV, and access to the exterior reading nook. Upstairs, there’s a suite with two twins that can be made up as a king bed. It has its own living area, balcony access, and a bathroom with a rain head shower. There’s also a king suite on this level with a lounge and balcony access. The fourth bedroom is located on the pool level with an ensuite. The fifth room features its own entrance, private deck, powder room, quaint kitchen area, and private bathroom making it a studio for those that need a little more space for themselves.
Amethyst is located walking distance to Baie Rouge Beach. Laundry service is available, and guests can tip the housekeeper at their own discretion for this service.
