Monte Verde Villa, St. Martin villa review
The house was perfect. There are breathtaking views from the pool deck. We felt very safe since the house was gated, and the electronic hurricane shutters made it easy to lock up at night or when we went into town. The bathrooms have fabulous rain showers and private outdoor showers. Every request we made was fulfilled within 30 minutes - it was amazing. We ran out of toilet paper and Greg showed up with more in what seemed like 10 minutes. He also brought us fresh pastries and bread. What a nice surprise. At the bottom of the hill there are some decent restaurants and beach bars. The beach bars offered chairs for rent and great service from beautiful young French men. Our favorite was Kontiki.
Shawna was fantastic. I will never book a trip like this any other way. I will definitely recommend her to everyone. I really can’t believe how perfect everything was. The WhereToStay website is so easy to use and the map is very informative. The service and communication we received from Shawna and the staff was extremely impressive. I have never experienced anything like this with VRBO or AirBnB.

Beautiful location, villa needs minor updating

Our first time at Monte Verde Villa but have stayed in identical sister property just below (Villa Belle Vue) twice in past decade. Absolutely stunning location/views. Villa perfect for families or 4 couples. Only issues are minor and cosmetic but for the price, should be addressed. Several toilet seat attachments broken, rust on lower part of refrigerator door, grill requires “hot wiring” to ignite with switch, issues with lighting (bulbs need replaced, switches coordinated). Cleaning crew did not show on designated day first week, didn’t show at all the second week. Villa concierge, Florent, was responsive and addressed issues when contacted. Overall a wonderful two weeks but would hope these minor issues addressed. Currently a lot of construction in neighborhood so not as quiet/private as in the past and overall neighborhood care (grounds, road, etc) a bit rough compared to past visits.
Working with WhereToStay a highlight of the trip. Members of our party were met at the airport where assistance was given with rental car agency issue as well as escorting them to villa. WhereToStay staff helpful with finding private chef (highly recommend), answering questions, etc. Will definitely look forward to working with Betsy and Lori again in future.

Breathtaking views
Monte Verde Villa, St. Martin villa review
Villa Monte Verde is a well appointed 4 bedroom villa ideal for groups or families. Each suite allows space and privacy and the common areas are perfect for gathering in larger groups. The outdoor area has a beautiful infinity pool with lounge chairs and a large sitting area with comfortable furniture when you need some shade. It is well situated above Orient Beach with stunning views. Wonderful restaurants are within a short drive to Orient Beach or Grand Case.
We had a great experience booking with WhereToStay and dealing with Andrew. He was prompt in answering all of our questions and made the trip easy to organize.

Beautiful villa, no privacy

Beautiful villa and clean. However there are ants everywhere -kitchen, 4 bedrooms, with en-suite toilet, living room. There bugs flying around. My sister has bites all over her body that she’s still using medication for.
WiFi was not stable at all we had to call for help. The TVs in the bedrooms were not working.
Flo, manager is extremely polite and attentive. He was able to adjust our TVs and WiFi.
Flo also showed up randomly even when we were asleep. And made us jump with fear. This is not acceptable He should arrange a time and not use his keys to get in from the laundry room.
Overall, it’s still a very beautiful villa where you can see far across the island. We enjoyed our vacation and will certainly return.
Betsy is great! Understood what we were looking for in a villa and our overall activity interests. Betsy was able to work with our family for a fantastic vacation!
