Know Before You Go...®
If you want to be amongst nature, there’s no place like Brigand Hill. Surrounded by 500 acres of a former plantation, this villa enjoys gorgeous, unobstructed views and easy ocean access. There is a sunken ship off the villa’s private beach, and some of the best scuba diving on the entire island a short walk away.
Great for a large group!
Brigand Hill enjoys a quiet, ridgefront location on the western side of St. Lucia. This eco-friendly vacation rental provides panoramic views, a full staff, and privacy amongst nature.
Brigand Hill sits on a ridge overlooking a former banana plantation. Rugged mountains stretch to the east, and crystal blue waters drape across the western landscape. The villa has its own private beach, and guests can access it by walking down the driveway or driving down with a cooler, drinks, and food. Snorkeling is great off the beach, and the villa provides complimentary snorkel gear. Around the villa’s sundeck, guests can swim in the pool, sunbathe on loungers, or dine beneath the veranda. Two outdoor showers, a hammock, and rocking chairs fill the wraparound veranda.
The main building’s spacious living room combines the lounge, dining area, and kitchen into one cohesive space. Shuttered French doors open to al fresco dining, and guests can also dine along the kitchen’s breakfast bar. Three of the villa’s five bedrooms are in the main building. Two are queen suites, and one is a twin suite with two twin beds. One of the queen suites and the twin suite can only be accessed from the exterior. The upper level queen suite has interior access. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and skylight. A separate cabana off the pool holds two more bedrooms and a full bathroom with his and her sinks. One cabana suite has a queen bed, and one has two twin beds. The villa has WiFi throughout, as well. The villa is maintained by a housekeeper, cook, and house manager.
Brigand Hill is secluded on an oceanfront ridge, but only a short drive from several activities. A local fishing village sits five minutes to the north, while the Pitons, Soufriere, the Sulphur Springs, and the drive-in volcano are about 30 minutes south. There are also deep sea fishing charters and diving operations nearby.

We thought it was wonderful.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
We stayed just seven days, and were ready to stay even longer.
Layne was a kind person - with some serious island cooking skill. She was attentive, and made our stay super nice.
Also, the house was better than in pictures and descriptions.
I highly recommend the staying here.

Brigand Hill is a jewel by a valley.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
Like St. Lucia, the island where it is hidden, Brigand Hill will soothe the most stressed soul.
Perched on the shoulder of a small canyon tucked in the mountains, the only visitors are frequent birds that inspect you, and the occasional cow that ignores you as it grazes along the canyon floor.
There is plenty of privacy – five bedrooms each with its own entrance and view of the valley. Once a working plantation (bananas was the prime product), it is easy to imagine those days long ago as you relax in the breeze of the open air dining room. But you will be quickly reminded of today’s good fortune by the swimming pool a few paces away.
Unless you are hiding out, you will need a car at Brigand Hill to snorkel at the charming cove some five minutes away; to launch your assault on the Pitons, the twin seaside jewels of St Lucia – down the coast about six miles; or to mingle in the evenings with the locals at Anse la Raye, a friendly village with great fish and lobsters on Friday night.

Brigand Hill is bliss in St. Lucia.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
We spent five days at Brigand Hill in November 2005. I can’t remember a more beautiful, laid back, scenario than we experienced here.
The room we were given was dreamy - a paradise to ourselves. Layne, who took care of us, also prepared delicious food. On top of that, she did wonderful massages, which we partook of every afternoon.
We toured the island, lolled by the pool, snorkeled, ate lunches and dinners at local restaurants when not at home. The snorkeling was the best I’ve ever done in that inviting warm water. The beach was reachable by car through a bumpy, typical island road. But once there, we loved it.
Altogether, it was a great time in a very private home on a lovely island. Brigand Hill is perfect for a quiet getaway. It has everything - and you can do nothing.
But, we toured, snorkeled, ate, and then always came back to to our heavenly room with the pool overlooking the rain forest right outside our door. Brigand Hill is a treat.

This was a perfect anniversary.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending our thirtieth anniversary at Brigand Hill. It was all we had hoped for - and more.
We spent our days relaxing by the pool, enjoying the fabulous view, snorkeling, swimming, boating, and exploring. Reggie and Layne took wonderful care of us, and I even got to experience one of Layne’s terrific massages.
The highlight of our week was the Friday night Fish Fry at Anse le Raye.
We are looking forward to returning soon.

This was a fabulous private spot in the Caribbean.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
I’ve been to Brigand Hill on two occasions. It is the most gorgeous place, and with a great view over the Caribbean Sea.
It is private, but close to restaurants, villages and towns. It is just a short walk to a private beach.
They also offer great hospitality and food. I can’t wait to get back.

We enjoyed our St. Lucia adventure.
Brigand Hill, St. Lucia villa review
Brigand Hill offered us a very relaxing and comfortable vacation. We were mesmerized by the beauty and sounds of the rain forest.
The accommodations suited our group of eight very well. Our only disappointment was that we were looking forward to hiking on the property, but that was discouraged because of safety and snakes. Reggie said the cave was overgrown and not accessible, so walking through the plantation was very limited.
I’m sorry that we missed “jump-up” as it was Lent and there was no celebration that Friday. It is a very rugged, lush, beautiful part of the world, and we’re glad to have had the opportunity to explore.
The towns we visited were really a step back in time. It is a true compliment to the character of the island and people.
