This peaceful retreat was designed with romance and comfort in mind! It feels like a true hideaway, with cozy spaces and tons of windows to gaze at the sea. It doesn’t hurt that the large terrace is surrounded by trees and foliage that add privacy to this already-secluded home. The views from the hillside are beautiful and framed by gardens, and you can enjoy them stretched out in the hammock or on a lounger by the pool. For a true island experience, be sure to take advantage of the outdoor showers and eat on the terrace as much as possible. On your first night at the villa, head to the hot tub with a glass of wine just as the sun goes down—chances are that’s where you’ll spend every evening thereafter.

Tara Villa sits at the end of a secluded residential road on a hillside overlooking the sea. This property is made up of four pavilions framed by thick tropical gardens, with panoramic ocean views from nearly every room.
The villa’s terrace holds a pool and hot tub, with al fresco dining and lounging. A breezy, covered living area overlooks the sea on the wraparound veranda. A thatched tiki bar complete with an ice maker, a small fridge, and a fully stocked bar make evening cocktails a daily possibility. On the east side of the property, a covered garden pavilion with a fountain is set for dining, with ocean views through the arched windows. The large main pavilion on the opposite side of the pool and terrace holds the Great Room, where guests can sink into the overstuffed couches and watch TV or listen to the wide choice of music through the Bose surround-sound system. The veranda borders the gourmet kitchen, which has an open layout and modern appliances. A pass-through window to a dining nook ushers in an ocean view.
A pavilion on the west side of the pool and terrace holds an air-conditioned king suite with a four-poster canopy bed, TV and DVD player, a large balcony, and an al fresco stone shower. The bed’s canopy lends a romantic tone to the room, and the balcony’s double doors open completely to the ocean view. Another pavilion holds an air-conditioned bedroom with two bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom connects to Tara’s second queen bedroom suite. This air-conditioned suite opens to a private deck and small garden. Tara’s fourth pavilion holds an air-conditioned king suite with its own balcony and al fresco stone shower.
Tara villa is a short drive to Smuggler’s Cove, a remote snorkeling spot with a coral bank 100 feet off shore. Guests can walk 20 minutes to Smuggler’s Cove if they want to exercise, but the uphill hike back can tire out some guests.
