We had a wonderful stay.
Schooner Bay #112, Barbados both review
This a lovely one-bedroom villa on two floors. Although it’s not overlooking the beach or pool, it is quiet, spotlessly clean, private, and very well appointed.
The complex was within walking distance to Speightstown, a small supermarket, and one or two quite nice restaurants.
The pool and beach area, complete with chaises lounges, were lovely.
I would highly recommend this villa, and we would consider another visit.

We were very happy at Schooner Bay.
Schooner Bay #112, Barbados both review
Schooner Bay exceeded my expectations. The beach was one of the best on the island, and my husband said the snorkeling was excellent. Make sure to have a floating flag or bright colored float so the boats and jet skis see you in the water.
The complex is man guard gated with a locked gate to the beach. You can store your items in the pool house in a locker. The unit was awesome (two-level) with all the amenities you would wish for.
The mosquito netting around the bed was very useful. The mosquitoes sneak in and are so small to see. Mosquito spray works great, too.
There are two grocery stores, a pizza shop and shopping within walking distance. The complex is pretty far from Bridgetown, and it is nice and quiet (except for the roosters, doves and a dog barking). You can just call the guard to quiet the dog. I slept with earplugs anyway.
You can book a tour through Island Safari. See the Harrison Caves ($30). We ate in every night as the food from the grocery store was ample. We also purchased items from the ladies selling fresh fruit and vegetables outside the grocery store (Eddie’). It was excellent, and way better than produce I’ve gotten in the US.
We would go back any day, any month. I loved Schooner Bay. If you are looking for the party life, go to St. Lawrence Gap, not Schooner Bay. Schooner Bay is five-star, and the people who stay here are in high regard.
We had a car, but driving on the left is a little scary, and you can easily get lost on the freeway near Bridgetown. Animal Flower Cave was a rip off as there were only one or two plants due to the recent drought.
