Melissa Villa is an excellent choice for any traveler who wants privacy and luxury all at once. You’ll be steps from the beach, minutes from activities and shops, and a short swim from several snorkeling reefs. The villa is in a gated community and surrounded by tons of foliage, so you can relax in peace and quiet. This location is so ideal, you’ll never want to leave!
Great for families
Melissa Villa sits on the West Coast of St. James in a gated community within walking distance of the beach. It offers a three-bedroom Main House and a two-bedroom Cottage that are both fully independent and well-equipped.
The infinity pool sits in the middle of the patio, bordered by lush gardens and tall palm trees. A hammock perfect for afternoon naps is steps away, and there’s tons of loungers to sunbathe on. The sectional is the perfect place to relax in the shade, and the portico covers more dining and living areas. A wet bar sits open to the sunshine and tropical breeze, equipped with everything needed for drinks and cocktails. Guests can expect to be spoiled by the villa’s full staff, from a cook to a butler. Inside, the cozy living room and media room allows guests to relax in front of the flatscreen TV. The Main House’s three bedrooms each have an ensuite bathroom and air-conditioning. There’s a king suite, queen suite, and an additional king suite that can be converted into a twin suite. The nearby Cottage is made of old coral stone and holds two bedrooms, a kitchen, and two patios. Both bedrooms have king-sized beds, and one can be converted into two twins. Each of the bedrooms have exterior access to the patio and an ensuite bathroom.
Melissa Villa offers the perfect combination of privacy and convenience. Guests have the security of a gated community with the benefit of golf, shops, the beach, tennis, and water sports nearby. Colony Club Beach is minutes away, with tons of activities and shallow reefs for snorkeling.

Absolutely Beautiful!
Melissa Villa, Barbados villa review
There was 10 of us that stayed at Villa Melissa for 6 days and 5 nights. The pictures are exactly the way the villa looks. He was clean and the staff were AMAZING!!!! Ian set up pretty much all of our tours and dinners out. Ms. Grace is a firecracker and a boat load of fun and laughs. Ms. Eunice cooked the meals and everything we ate tasted amazing! If you are looking for a good time Barbados is definitely the place to go. You will NOT be disappointed with Villa Melisa!!!
Everyone was very helpful and informative on what we should do while we were in Barbados.

Beautiful villa for a fabulous three generation family vacation
Melissa Villa, Barbados villa review
Our family was thoroughly entranced with Melissa Villa. Photos do not fully convey the beauty and luxury of the main villa, the cottage, and the grounds.
We can’t say enough about the caring, responsible, and efficient staff who met our every need with pleasure. Ian was very happy to share his home made rum and created many delicious rum drinks at the tiki bar. Eurice was a fantastic cook and prepared such beautiful, delicious salads. Grace kept the rooms and our laundry spotless. The grocery store was a short distance away for us to purchase what we needed. The fish man came to the villa and we picked out the fish for dinner.
We appreciated the large pool which was great for laps, pool games, and just cooling off. Comfortable, outdoor furniture, large pool/beach towels, and containers of sun screen and bug repellant were plentiful. On a few occasions we saw monkeys walking along the property wall. The beach was an easy and very short walk around the corner from the villa.
We appreciated the comfortable bedrooms with ceiling fans and air conditioning when needed. There were numerous comfortable sitting areas so that one could be alone when one wished. Some of the areas open during the day could be closed in the evening by shutting folding glass doors. While the media room had a large TV we never used it but the room was great for games and relaxing.
We all left with wonderful memories of this vacation and dreams of someday returning.
We began working with Shawna in late 2019 for a 2020 family vacation at Villa Melissa. Unfortunately, Covid-19 interrupted our 2020 and 2021 plans but we were able to take the vacation this year without additional cost for which we were grateful. Throughout the long process Shawna was extremely warm, caring, and supportive. She was responsive to phone calls and emails and provided all necessary information. The My Trip page was a great resource. We were so pleased to have had the opportunity to work with her and look forward to working with her in the future.
