Large pool and tennis court, beach access
Belair Great House is a large family villa with Old World charm. This 100-year old home is set on over two acres of landscaped grounds with almost 300 feet of ocean frontage.
A large swimming pool is nestled amongst the perfectly manicured lawn. The deck offers ample space for relaxing and entertaining, as well as a barbecue area with a brick grill, gas barbecue, bar, sink, and dining for 10. The pool area is slightly raised and gated, so the area is child-friendly. The entire home is fenced, and there’s an electronic gate at the entrance and a small gate at the seafront. An asphalt tennis court adds extra entertainment for the young and young at heart.
Belair Great House is a two-story, Plantation-style home with elegant common areas and five bedrooms. The lower floor holds the formal dining room, a large kitchen, one bedroom, and one bathroom. An antique mahogany dining table, matching sideboards, and a crystal chandelier add a regal touch to the dining room. High ceilings and glass panel doors open to the lawn, the ocean, and the tennis court so guests can enjoy formal or more relaxed meals here. A staircase sits between the dining room and the kitchen, which features granite countertops, standard appliances, and exterior access. The lower level suite faces the sea and has two twin beds, a full bathroom with a shower, and exterior access.??The upper floor has four bedrooms and a wraparound balcony. French doors open to the tastefully decorated sitting area, bar, dining area, and outdoor kitchen. The bedrooms all overlook the pool and the ocean. The master suite has a king bed and shares a bathroom with the children’s suite, which has two twin beds. The other two suites on this floor have a king bed and a double bed, and share the second bathroom. Daily housekeeping is provided.
The Coach House is less than 100 yards from Belair Great House. The property’s character has been preserved with hardwood floors, travertine tiles, granite countertops, and local stone walls. The Coach House’s common area includes an antique billiards table and a kitchenette with a wine cooler, a small fridge, and a microwave. Double French doors open to the lawn. There’s a suite with two twin beds around the corner, and a bathroom sits between. Upstairs, there’s two bedrooms and a sitting room with a large flatscreen Apple desktop and cable TV. Both bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom and open to private balconies. One has a queen bed and the other has two twins.
?Barbados’ finest beaches are within a five-minute drive, and Dawlish Beach and Falmouth Beach are within easy walking distance. Crane Beach is a great swimming beach, and only one minute away.

Wonderful place to stay
Belair Great House, Barbados villa review
We rented this house for 10 days. It was actually built by my husband’s great grandmother, so there was history for us. The owners were very cordial, and came and visited with us. The housekeepers were meticulous and friendly. The ocean breezes were outstanding, and it was wonderful to be so close to the ocean. We ate supper every evening on the porch, where we could listen to the ocean and bask in the breezes. The kitchens were outfitted with every appliance and dish you might need. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The managers were very responsive to any questions we had and directed us to places in the island we were looking for.
The grounds were beautiful and we played tennis on the court in the mornings.
Overall, we give WhereToStay an A+. We would work with them and rent this villa again.
Andrew was great and prepared us for everything we needed. He was very responsive and a tremendous help.

Belair Great House
Belair Great House, Barbados villa review
The Belair Great House was beautiful and true to the photos that are posted on line. The house was comfortable and inviting and the property was well manicured. There were plenty of spaces for your family and friends to gather together as well as many spots for individuals to find a bit of quiet relaxation. The housekeeping staff was courteous, friendly and thorough in their work. The staff at Wheretostay was all quite courteous.

we surived the hurricane
Belair Great House, Barbados villa review
I was apprehensive at first because I had never booked anything on-line before of value, especially from a company I knew nothing about. I took my wife and our wedding party from 20 years ago to Barbados and stayed at the Belair Great House, the pictures do nothing for the house. The view was unbelievable and the villa even at 100 years old was in pristine shape.
I dealt with Andrew, who couldn’t be more patient with me with all my questions. He arranged a cook (Margarita) who was out of this world and the house keeping staff could not do enough for us.
The only down fall was the hurricane we encountered at the end of the trip. I was surprised that a house of that quality would not have a backup generator so we would be able to prepare a meal while the power was out.
If anyone is doubting WheretoStay.com or this property don’t, it definitely is worth the cost.

This is the place you want to get married!
Belair Great House, Barbados villa review
My family is originally from Barbados, and my husband and I chose this place to get married. It was amazing!
The view from the second floor sitting area was the true meaning of what Barbados was all about. The grounds were beautiful. The day of my wedding, my guests commented on how breathtaking it all was.
The staff was impeccable, and the house was very kid-friendly. It is walkable to the Crane Resort, so you can easily access one of the best beaches in Barbados.
I would highly recommend this place for a wedding or even a family gathering. The lack of air conditioning was no problem, as the trade winds off the Atlantic at night made the house cool - and also lulled you to sleep. I loved it!

It was spacious, beautiful, and a historic vacation destination.
Belair Great House, Barbados villa review
My husband and I were married at Belair Great House, and we and our family stayed here during the week. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and the house was more than we could have expected.
There was no air-conditioning. However, with all of the windows and doors letting in the breeze, you hardly notice. We arranged for a cook, which was a good idea because it was about a thirty-minute drive to most of the restaurants on the south coast. It also gave us a chance to try the local cuisine.
This house provided so much space for the entire family that it was a great choice for a relaxed and calm vacation.
