Know Before You Go...®
Panarea Villa is truly beautiful, with a great housekeeper and lush gardens all around. I think this villa is ideal for a casual, laid-back Caribbean vacation, especially for young families or couples. This villa feels private and secure, because the exterior courtyard wall and bedrooms are all accessible from inside the house.
Close to a beautiful beach with world-class amenities
Panarea Villa is set in the west end of Anguilla between Cap Juluca and Altamer, just minutes from the white sand beaches that the island is known for. This vacation rental is great for couples and young families, and four-wheel drive is recommended.
The pool enjoys hours of sun, and the dining veranda enjoys all-day shade. The lap pool sits between lush gardens and the lounging terrace. There’s beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and a cooler for trips to Maundays Bay, Barnes Bay, or Shoal Bay West. A fully air-conditioned gym is just off the pool deck, with fitness equipment, yoga mats and blocks, free weights, a sound system, a steam room, a home theater system, a juice bar, a fridge, and a separate bathroom.
This three-bedroom home combines Caribbean architecture with Italian decor, like Sicilian tiles in the kitchen and Roman tiles and mirrors in the bath. The living areas at Panarea are cooled by the ceiling fans and open to the view. There’s also a cable TV, a small office, and a library in the common area. The galley kitchen is furnished with high-end appliances and its windows open to the garden. All three air-conditioned bedrooms, Amantea, Muscio and Zaffiro, are comparable in size and offer a private terrace and sea views. Amanita is the Master Suite with a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, and access to the pool deck. The second bedroom, Musico, is also located on the main floor and offers two twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a private terrace. The twin beds can be made up as a king, if needed. At the top of the stairs is Zaffiro, the third bedroom, and it has a king bed with two extra long twin mattresses, an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a private balcony.
Maunday’s Bay beach is 10 minutes away, and Barnes Bay is in the opposite direction. Both beaches have several restaurants and long stretches of white sand. The villa is maintained by a manager, housekeeper, pool caretaker, and two gardeners.

Another Great Stay
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
This was our 2nd time enjoying the calm and comfort of Panarea Villa. Each morning we would exercise a bit, make a quick breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen and then take a dip in the pool while listening to birds and rustling palm trees. After a day at the beach, it was so relaxing to head “home” for a rum drink and another swim in the pool. Perfectly located near the hotels, restaurants and supermarket, Panarea is our ideal getaway!
Shawna was amazing. She was so patient as we had a few date changes and other guests’ schedules to contend with. We worked with WhereToStay.com last year and will definitely reach out to them next time we get away!

Panarea in Paradise
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
Our stay at Villa Panarea was amazing. The interior layout was perfect for the 5 of us… we had our privacy, yet the living space was conducive to all of us enjoying patio dinners and Olympic event viewing on tv. Each morning we made breakfast at the villa before venturing off to a new beach. Midday, we would return to the villa for swimming and regrouping before, once again, heading out to try another bay. The villa was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need…even a blender for frozen margaritas and a few patio lanterns for ambience. It was conveniently located near the 3 elite resorts as well as delicious restaurants and the Island’s grocery store, Best Buy. Panarea was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all that Anguilla has to offer!
I usually plan/book our vacations myself, but found WhereToStay’s website while looking at island villas. I reached out and was fortunate enough to get Andrew. He was extremely knowledgeable, organized and very patient throughout the process. I did ask quite a few questions while trying to accommodate everyone in our crew.

Paradise!
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
I love this place! We’ve been to Anguilla upwards of 13 times, and we’ve either stayed at Cap Juluca or the Viceroy. The Panerea Villa was exceptional. We brought our three small children with us, and they could not have been more comfortable in the house! Nadine was our daily housekeeper, and she was exceptional, making sure all of our needs are taken care of. This was a wonderful family escape, but I could totally see it working well for three couples. We are already planning our return as soon as possible.
Shawna is a rockstar! Need a crib? Yep, we’ve got that. Installed and ready to go in the bedroom of your choice. Need a rental car? Yep. We’ve got that. Sitting in the driveway with our Anguillian license in the center console. Need anything else? Yep we’ve got that. Shawna knew our wants and needs before we even did and took care of them. Excellent customer service which is so very rare to find these days. I will never go back without booking through her.

ANGUILLA/WHERE TO STAY - FANTASTIC
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
PANAREA MORE THAN EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE HAD NO SURPRISES THE ENTIRE WEEK OF OUR STAY. THE KITCHEN WAS WELL FURNISHED WITH SUPERIOR COOKWARE IF YOU ARE ONE TO COOK IN, WHICH WE DID.
WHERE TO STAY WAS VERY HELPFUL IN PLANING AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. THEIR FOLLOW THROUGH WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY. THE LOCAL STAFF ON THE ISLAND WAS SUPERIOR AND VERY FRIENDLY. THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH “WHERE TO STAY” AND IT WILL NOT BE MY LAST. PREVIOUS COMPANIES WERE GOOD, BUT SHAWNA JUST TAKES IT A STEP FUTHER. WE JUST FELT LIKE WE WERE IN GOOD HANDS DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS OF LOOKING/BOOKING/GETTING THERE AND BACK/AND WHILE WE WERE ON THE ISLAND. AGAIN, GREAT LOCAL STAFF.

It was a wonderful villa.
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
This was our first trip to Anguilla. We couldn’t have been happier with Panarea villa.
Maureen the housekeeper was great. Also, the amenities were first rate. We enjoyed the gym, the verandas, and especially the pool. We found the villa was located very close to Shoal Bay West, which turned out to be our favorite beach.
I wish the road to the villa was better, but other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was total privacy and relaxation.
Also, the Where To Stay staff support was over-the-top outstanding. Our stay would not have been as enjoyable without Shawna’s and Gayle’s involvement and oversight. It was total customer service.

Fabulous
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
I booked the Panarea Villa through Wheretostay/specifically Andrew Macafee in early August. My experience with Andrew was not five stars but a thousand star! The villa is truly beautiful. We were a family of five and the three bedrooms used were spectacular. Beautifully air-conditioned with wonderful bathrooms. The living room had a flat screen TV with satelite television that worked like a charm. We also brought dvd’s from home and enjoyed a movie after dinner on three nights. During the day we turned on the stereo surround sound system and couldn’t have been more relaxed. In a seperate building there is a great gym with state of the art equipment. Within the gym there is a steam room that was a wonderful experience after a day at the beach and villa pool. We brought steaks from the states and used the villa bbq and ate under the stars on the dining room patio. The gardens that surround the pool and villa are pleasing to the eye, and extremely well kept. Maid and pool service was top notch. My son is a graduate of the Culinary Institiute of America and he loved the kitchen at Panarea Villa. I have been to Anguilla thirty nine times and have stayed in every major resort. This being my 39th time—I am sooo sorry that I didn’t rent a villa before. I can only conclude by stating that you will not be unhappy with any element of this villa, and wheretostay—Andrew made it happen. Scott E. Hauser/New York

Panarea Villa is a great overall choice.
Panarea Villa, Anguilla villa review
I agree with Blabbott’s review. The villa and grounds were quite lovely and private - if a bit farther from the water than some. That said, several west end beaches were just a short drive away. We liked Mead’s Bay and Cap Juluca the best. The latter was within comfortable walking distance. Shoal Bay East was another favorite - just 20 minutes or so away by car.
All the support staff were super helpful, too. The only mild complaint we had was that the kitchen could get quite warm during the daytime if we chose to do some cooking.
We’ve rented several villas in the Caribbean over the years, and would definitely come back to this one!
